Moko Smoked Eel

Rob & wife Bev make a living from eels.  In 2011 they won the NZ Farmers Market Award and also won the 2013 NZ Cuisine Artisan Award.”

Current product range and variants

Packed in 200-gram vacuum packs they supply whole smoked fillet form or whole smoked eel as requested.  They also have fresh eel, either whole or filleted.  It is wild caught, organic, short-finned eel.

The products are mainly sold to restaurants and wineries nationwide.  They also sell at Lyttelton Farmers Market and Riccarton Market. They use a very small percentage of the eel that is available to them so there is no problem with supply.
