In April 2021, the business received PGF funding to support the move into an industrial warehouse where the majority of their products are manufactured and packed. The funding also enabled the purchase of a new laser cutter (to cut the jewellery), as well as e-commerce support.
This investment has contributed to the creation of three new full time roles.

Owned and produced by Lara Northcroft, Velvet Stone Media are a Māori Production company based in Rotorua and are apart of the Steam Box Collective. Lara has been instrumental in the establishment of the Steam Box Collective and has been in the production industry for over 15 years.

In March 2021, Velvet Stone Media received PGF funding to purchase and fit out a Unit Truck whereby enabling the company to build their infastructure and reduce overheads.
