Poutama pānui – Hepetema – September 20252025-09-02T23:22:58+12:00

Tēnā koutou katoa,

Nau mai, haere mai ki te Pānui o Poutama – your monthly dose of inspo, insight, and Māori business magic!

This month we celebrate both Mahuru Māori and Te Wiki o te Reo Māori – kaupapa that remind us to champion te reo every day, in every space.  Whether it’s at home, in our pakihi, or with our whānau, each kupu spoken adds to the momentum of revitalisation and strengthens our collective identity.

It’s also been a powerful time of connection.  Over the past couple of weeks, Poutama has been proud to stand alongside the Kāhui Collective at NZ Fashion Week, celebrate supplier diversity at the Amotai Navigate Summit & Supplier Diversity Awards, and support whānau businesses at the Wairoa Business Symposium.

Each kaupapa reflected the creativity, innovation, and resilience of our people.  As we look to the week ahead, we join in acknowledging Koroneihana 2025.  This marks the first Koroneihana under Te Arikinui Kuīni Ngā Wai Hono i te Pō.  A time to honour the Kingitanga, reflect on its legacy, and celebrate its enduring strength for the future.

As Mahuru (September) ushers in spring, it’s the perfect season for fresh energy and renewed focus.  Just like te taiao bursting back to life, now’s the time to grow our pakihi dreams, reset our goals, and lean into the final stretch of the year.

This pānui is your space to stay connected, celebrate the wins of our pakihi Māori whānau, and share kaupapa that uplift and inspire.  Whether it’s support through the Regional Business Partner network, updates on events across the motu, or highlights from across our ecosystem — Poutama is here to awhi you on the journey.

We hope you enjoy the read.  Got thoughts, ideas, or just wanna say kia ora?  We’d love to hear from you!
