- Poutama works in partnership with Crown entities to help grow successful and sustainable Māori enterprise.
- Like Callaghan, Poutama tautoko Pakihi Māori by connecting them to the right research and development (R&D) services and co-funding that will help more Māori innovate, commercialise and grow faster.
- With Callaghan, Poutama’s positive engagement covers, but not limited to:
– on-going and regular engagement with Callaghan’s Business & Māori Economy Tīma
– partnering with Callaghan and local Bay of Plenty Pakihi Māori to deliver Matariki X – the first regional Māori Inspire event – in 2016, 2017 and 2019
– providing funding assistance to Pakihi Māori that meet both Poutama and Callaghan criteria for support e.g. ENVICO Technologies Ltd
– identifying and referring Poutama clients seeking Callaghan’s innovation support and assistance.
– domestic and international industry opportunities e.g. industry sector forums, conferences trade fairs.
