Hinerangi’s background is in employment and education through New Zealand Employment Service and Careers Services (now Careers New Zealand), as well as kura and schools through education projects. She led Kia Takatu a Matihiko National Teachers Readiness programme since 2018, and as a director of Korou Digital Agency Ltd, which seeks to create equitable outcomes for access to digital futures in rural areas, Hinerangi constantly advocates for equitable access to a digital future.
