The new Coralus Venture cohort in Aotearoa were selected last month!
These 7 Ventures are addressing everything from reimagining the design, beauty, and sustainability of our systems, exploring the healing potential of food, and uplifting Māori culture and leadership.
Together they are working across 5 different sectors + on 5 different UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Of the Selected Ventures:
- 43% of ventures are led by Indigenous people
- 5 came through referrals by Coralus events or Activators
- 5 different UN Sustainable Development Goals
- 2 are returning applicants
Hapī Ora – Gretta Carney, Ahuriri | Napier, Hawke’s Bay. Artisan food producers upholding he kai he rongoa he rongoa he kai, the healing potential of food produced with the integrity of our ancestors.
One Twenty Legacy Limited (t/a Ignite Your Gift) – Stacey Mareroa-Roberts, Tauranga, Bay of Plenty. Uplifting Māori capability development through culturally tailored consulting and coaching, fostering leadership education and inclusivity for prosperity.
Whatu Creative – Awhina Murupaenga, Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. A Māori creative agency developing modern products based off traditional art forms to reclaim, relearn and reconnect with our culture.
HazEL – Kate Bromfield, Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. HazEL builds simple tools that enable people to make better chemical management decisions that reduce chemical harm.
Kiwi Launch Pad – Bridget Romanes, Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. The comprehensive digital platform for new migrants, funded by employers, and containing all the information newcomers need to settle successfully in NZ.
Liz Mitchell Wool Revolution – Liz Mitchell, Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. Creating a sustainable design-led revolution using strong wool to develop world-leading consumer products that will transform our world.
Waste Free Celebrations Ltd – Emma Conyngham, Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. Give joy, not waste! They turn festive occasions into eco-friendly traditions.
