Summer Brons is the proud co-founder and owner of Summerbrons.Tan. Her roots run deep in the rich tapestry of Māori culture, with affiliations to Ngāpuhi and Ngāti Kahungunu.
Growing up, Summer always had a passion for beauty and skincare. “The idea of achieving a sun-kissed glow without the harmful effects of sun exposure was incredibly appealing to me”, says Summer.
This led her to help create summerbrons.Tan, a brand dedicated to providing safe, natural, and effective self-tanning solutions.
summerbrons.Tan was founded in November 2020 and is a New Zealand-based self-tanning brand. They offer a range of premium self-tanning products and accessories. From skin prep products to their luxurious tanning mousses, they’ve got everything you need to achieve a flawless, sun-kissed glow without harming your skin.
Based in the Bay of Plenty, the region’s stunning beaches and outdoor lifestyle perfectly complement the summerbrons.Tan ethos. Summer says, “Our community’s appreciation for natural beauty and healthy living has been a huge source of inspiration and support.”

Recent funding from Poutama will be used to bring manufacturing into New Zealand and help to launch two new products. Summer says, “We’re passionate about creating self-tanning products that are not only effective but also kind to your skin and the environment.”
