Employers are reminded if they, or an employee, tests positive for COVID-19, they’ll need to isolate for seven days after their symptoms first occurred, or for seven days after receiving a positive test result, whichever comes first.  However, if a person is isolating and still has symptoms after seven days, they are to stay home until 24 hours after symptoms resolve.

The COVID-19 Leave Support Scheme is available to employers to help pay employees who have had to self-isolate because of COVID-19 and can’t work from home.  It’s also available to eligible self-employed workers.

More information on the Leave Support Scheme can be found here.
