The latest financial support includes the new ‘transition payment’ as businesses move into the traffic light system. It will be welcomed by affected businesses, especially those in Te Taitokerau, Tāmaki Makaurau and Waikato. The one-off payment will be activated through the Resurgence Support Payment (RSP) system criteria. This payment will be at a higher base rate than the current RSP and will be $4,000 per business plus $400 per FTE up to a cap of 50 FTEs – a maximum payment of $24,000 per business. The payment will be available from 10 December 2021.
