Manawa Honey NZ joins 200 companies in Aotearoa New Zealand that have achieved the B Corp Certification.
The Ruatāhuna-based business is only one of the very few Māori businesses, as well as a handful of honey producers to have achieved the accreditation.
B Corp seeks to foster a new kind of business thinking that balances business purpose, profit, people and planet – as a force for good. This is an approach that aligns well with other Māori owned businesses. The B Corp certification framework measures a business’s social and environmental performance. The evaluation process involves assessing how the business’s operations and operating model impact on governance, kaimahi/workers, their community, the taiao/environment and their customers.
