Steve McLean and Aimee Hiini (Tūhourangi) are the owner/operators of McLean Drilling Limited.
Their business takes them all over the South Island/Te Waipounamu drilling and laying fibre optic cables for Chorus under the UFB2 sector.
They also complete work for Enable Networks building fibre optic infrastructure in private laneways and extending the network where required connecting customers around Ōtautahi/Christchurch and surrounding areas.
“The Poutama Trust graciously granted us $10,000 to go towards the purchase of machinery that will help the business grow. We have purchased an excavator which certainly helps with production and allows us to complete jobs in a much timelier fashion”, says Aimee.
McLean Drilling Limited has been operating since October 2014 starting with a crew of 3 employees. “We now have 16 employees working on multiple sites around the South Island”, says Aimee.
“McLean Drilling Limited would like to offer our gratitude to the Poutama Trust for their support”. Ngā mihi nui.
