New COVID-19 business support

New funding to help businesses transition to the COVID-19 protection framework was announced covering:

• The Resurgence Support Payment: where the rate will be doubled and paid fortnightly, up to $43,000 per business.
• Wage subsidy will continue to be available to businesses anywhere in Aotearoa while any part of the country is in Alert Levels 3 or 4.
• A $60 million package of support specifically for Tāmaki Makaurau businesses via the Regional Business Partner Programme – for business mentoring and advice ($50m), and mental health support ($10m).
