Sam & Sharne Smith – Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāpuhi
Plumb South is a small company that’s big on providing customer focused plumbing solutions. Based in Invercargill, husband and wife team Sam & Sharne own and operate their small plumbing and drainlaying business.
The company started in August 2022 as a one man band but now have the addition of a tradesman and an apprentice. They handle everything from maintenance and repairs to new builds and renovations across the Murihiku rohe.
“We have a fantastic and supportive community here,” Sam says. “Word of mouth is key! I have lived here all my life so it is awesome having the local support.”
Sam and Sharne are proud to lead Plumb South into a new age of plumbing, by keeping up with the latest technology developed for plumbing drainage services.
Poutama recently supported the business with investment in new equipment. Sam says, “The funding will help us to provide extra services within the community that there is a need for.”
“We like to pride ourselves not only in the work we carry out for our customers, but we also really enjoy supporting the rangatahi within our community by ways of sponsorships and work experience.”
