South Waikato Investment Fund Trust (SWIFT) is a community-owned economic development fund dedicated to the growth and development of South Waikato.
Established in 2014, the Trust was tasked with managing the investment fund by approving funding for economic development proposals. In 2021 the Trust formed an operations team of 3 to further support and expand on the Trust’s strategy.
SWIFT’s core areas of focus are:
- Supporting business growth and capability
- Community projects that provide a pathway for job opportunities
- Initiatives that support access to higher education
SWIFT are committed to supporting pakihi in South Waikato, embracing our culture, te ao Māori and work in partnership with organisations who share the same values.
