Released last week, this report looks at the makeup of more than 23,000 Māori businesses and 38,000 sole traders across Aotearoa.

The report finds almost 40 percent of Māori-owned businesses have wāhine Māori as owners.

From Poutama’s perspective, this report can help the government and other organisations like Poutama to better understand and support wāhine, rangatahi and whānau in business.

Poutama has supported Māori enterprise across Aotearoa for over 34 years.
