Adrian Evans, the owner, has been in the hair industry for 20 years across four different countries, but always at the high end of the market. After returning from overseas in 2003 he successfully ran a barbershop in partnership with Servilles before taking part ownership in their Shortland Street franchise.
In 2008 he sold his stake in the business to study journalism at Auckland University of Technology which saw him graduate in 2010 with a Bachelor of Communications.
In 2013 he joined Bettjemans, one of New Zealand’s most prestigious hair salons, where his passion for men’s barbering was reignited.
Now in 2015 he returns to 70 Shortland St to change the game by taking the best parts of men’s barbering and rolling them into one smart package called The Gentry.
