Chaad & Rion Lawrence established Roa Kombucha in 2016, and specialise in the manufacture of delicious and healthy Kombucha.
The proud whānau owned business based in Papamoa is on a mission to “create generational change by promoting gut health through Roa Kombucha.”
Chaad & Rion were introduced to kombucha through a mate, says Rion “within that year our whānau saw massive changes to their hauora/health!”
“We had great energy, naturally, our bodies detoxed and processed our food better, we lost that bloated feeling in our gut, the extra weight fell off and overall our mental clarity seemed so much clearer.”
“A simple change from fizzy and soft drinks to kombucha drove these changes!! As a result we have really tried to live with gut health at the forefront of our minds.”
Chaad adds “Our mission is to educate, inform & inspire whānau across Aotearoa by promoting gut health through our Kombucha, we want whānau to understand that the food we eat and beverages we drink can be the best form of medicine for our bodies.”
Recently, Poutama was proud to support Roa with the purchase of equipment to help increase the capacity of Roa’s brewery space.
“The grant that we have received from Poutama has assisted us to scale from manual to semi automatic machines, when you are bottling 1000’s of bottles day in and day out this has been a huge booster for growth for our business, says Chadd. “We have been fortunate to be approved for further funding from Poutama which is going to help us continue to grow and scale up our business, the more we grow the more we can reach the wider whānau throughout Aotearoa!”
