On 1 June, and in partnership with Waikato Tainui, Amotai, and Te Hūmeka Waikato Māori Business Network, we reconnected kānohi-ki-te-kānohi over kōrero and kai with dozens of Waikato-based Māori businesses and Māori Service Providers.
The event included a great line up of speakers including Kim Hill of Stratigi, Te Waka – Waikato Economic Development Agency, Waikato Tainui, Amotai as well as Poutama. Each spoke of the services, support and assistance they make available to Māori businesses in the Waikato.
We also heard directly from three Waikato-based Māori businesses: Nichola, Āki Innovations and Taha who spoke of their respective business journeys including the highs and lows, market opportunities and the support received from the Māori service providers.
Planning is underway, so do keep an eye out for our next regional event.
