Froth Technologies is disrupting the brewing supplies industry in Aotearoa by localising the supply of brewing yeast available to brewers.

Co-founders Simon Cooke of Ngāi Tahu descent and his business partner Ryan Carville, both passionate brewers, were looking for ways to offer something unique to the NZ craft brewing industry.

In 2018 they took a leap of faith, to grow fresh liquid yeast cultures right here in Aotearoa NZ.  And with that… Froth Technologies was born.

They target the 200+ small breweries of New Zealand who work to make diverse, interesting and high quality craft beer.

Froth Technologies is committed to a future where our biodiversity is increasing, not rapidly disappearing as it is now.  In 2022 they measured their carbon footprint of their business operations.

Their footprint is already quite lean based upon emissions minimising decisions made when setting up their business.  Poutama was proud to support them with their new solar system for their production facility.

Their vision is for NZ craft beer to be the highest quality and most sustainable in the world.

There are a number of inspiring breweries and businesses right through the supply chain that are stepping into the the age of responsibility and really leading by example when it comes to sustainable business practices.

Froth Technologies is determined to be one of those businesses.
