Te Whare Hukahuka & Poutama Trust Are Proud To Join Forces
Poutama is supporting The Ka Hao i te Ao Programme – an e-commerce training programme offered to Māori business owners.
Poutama will offer a $10k grant to the business that tops the programme. This funding is to be used to purchase products/services that will help take the business to another level.
In the 2021, several Māori Entrepreneurs participated, including Elaine Carrol Hunia owner of Whenua Honey. Through Ka Hao’s ecommerce training, she was able to grow the business’s online sales of its honey products. This improvement in sales was recognised through the programme with a ‘5-figure Ecommerce Award’.
A new cohort of Māori entrepreneurs is set to begin mid-year 2022.
More information about the programme and Poutama’s contribution can be read here.
