New Zealand AgriFood Week kicks off this week in Manawatū.  It creates an important and unique platform for New Zealand’s primary industries to convene.

It is the only week-long extravaganza that celebrates, showcases and develops the meeting of food, agriculture and technology across the breadth of New Zealand’s primary food sectors.

With multiple events hosted within the week, there is something for everyone; from farmers and growers, researchers and scientists, industry leaders, innovators, marketers and communication specialists, to secondary school students interested in a career in the sector, and foodies who want to enjoy the produce grown on our land.

The week’s theme, Food for Who? attempts to raise and rethink questions about who is New Zealand feeding?  Who is buying our food?  Who is sustaining traditional industry and who is evolving it?
